11 December 2014
It has been a good couple of weeks, with ups and downs, but I am immensely grateful for the gift of life, the gift of being here, in this place and at this time.
I am so thankful to my University and the people in it, for believing in me, for making me realise that ain’t no mountain high enough and every dream is real enough to be made true. I’m grateful for two of my fave bloggers, Kola, for reaching her goal to write her own book, with her very name on it, and for Tessy, for reaching (in two days) her 21st with the favour and the glory of the Lord upon her life, with the ability to be the good person she is.
I’m thankful to my big sister for being (a pain but also) the nicest person on planet earth; to my friends, my best friends, for loving and caring the way they do, even though I sometimes let them down; to my dad for being supportive in all I do and seeing what I am capable of doing long before I even know what to do with my life.
I’m forever grateful to the Almighty for making my hand so strong and my person so fierce in this walk to adulthood: lately, despite the negativity I have around, I’ve been able to focus on what matters to me and I know I can’t do it all by myself.
Join me to give gratitude, what are you thankful for this week?
